Greetings friends! I’ve been busy as a bee but wanted to share a few of the photos I took my first week in Caracas. I shot these from the apartment window and really like the way they turned out. They are natural light photos using the light of late afternoon which I absolutely love because of the golden hue it gives off. Enjoy!

Happy New Year! Feliz Año!

Happy 2010 everyone! I know I haven’t posted anything in a while but there has so much been going on lately that I’ve not been able to gather my thoughts properly. Life changes lightning fast when we least expect it and the last two months of 2009 were not as I expected needless to say. My fam and I left Princeton in November and I ended up in Upstate NY while my folks went West to Washington State. I miss them but at the same time am so happy to be closer to NYC and a few steps closer to fullfilling my dream of living in Manhattan! It is what I have wanted all my life and I am eagerly awaiting the chance to do so.

As a new twist on a new year, I have decided to use this blog to showcase each day in my life through photographs. My goal is to write everyday starting today and add photos that I take each day. For me it is an exercise in writing and photography and something that I hope will help keep me inspired with the day to day. So, to start off this new blogging season I went out for a brisk winter walk today and took some fun pictures! Only I would think it great to take a walk in the snow when we’re experiencing what the weatherman called an “arctic blast” and nearly freeze my fingers off trying to take some pictures.

All in all, I found that it is quite possible to find hidden pockets of beauty in the most unlikely places. So, without further ado, here are a few shots from my walk this afternoon:

I hope you enjoy those shots! I look forward to hearing what you all think of my love of snow! Have a wonderful January! More to come tomorrow!
