It’s been a great long while and I have a few new ideas for the blog but here is what I’ve been working on lately:

  1. Mes Petites Creations has a new look:

  2. Created a new tumblr page called Mes Petites Creations’ Loves:

Been getting re-acquainted with an old friend from Venezuela, reading some really awesome online publications like Matchbook Mag which I love and Lonny Mag, dreaming up new projects in photography, networking and working on detoxifying my life. This year is going to be different from all the rest!

That’s what I’ve been up to…what about you?

Midnight Musings

It has been almost a week since my last post and I feel horrible about it! Blogging on Mes Petites Creations has taken up most of my time as well as taking care of both of my nieces this week. Alyssa was on Winter Break this week so she has been home every day. We colored a lot and watched a few films. I think tomorrow we will have to do some crafts so as to not have to spend so much time in front of the tv.

My week has been so busy that I have barely had time to do any photography! I have updated some of my photography musings on my Facebook page Perez Liscano Photography. I’ve also created a profile in deviantArt.com, to which I have only submitted 2 “deviations” but will hopefully submit more in the time to come. These are a few of my favorites by other “deviants”:

I hope to one day become as talented as those who have taken the photos above! My own photos are good but they could be better, which is why I plan on attending Spokane Falls Community College and enrolling in the Photography program. I am so excited to go back home, to the land of my birth, and start a new life journey that hopefully will lead me back to NY someday. I will miss my East Coast lands but I shall return to them! My dream of living in Manhattan is not exactly over and with proper training becoming a photojournalist might just help me make that dream come true.  This latina has a talent and I would be silly not to exploit it! My photo of a building in Chacao was chosen to be used in a publication about the municipality in Caracas which was a very high honor for me. This is the photo:

Interesting building in Chacao

It’s not even my best photo but it’s a pretty good one! I think this could really be the beginning of a great career! Anyway, I must get going to bed. I am super tired and will no doubt need to be up fairly early in the morning!

Today was pretty low-key for me. I woke up, made my bed, had breakfast, and started doing some laundry to get ready for my trip tomorrow. I only took 4 pictures today because I had nothing really exciting going on. I watched “Coupling” on YouTube while folding my laundry which was kind of fun!

I love watching TV on my laptop!

After that I looked up some scrumptious recipes and wrote one of them down for this weekend:

Writing down recipes...

After that I set out to work on my other blog: Mes Petites Creations and stopped for a moment to eat dinner and play with Alyssa until she went to bed. Not very exciting really but check out my other post for a good read! 🙂 You’re gonna love it! I guarantee it!

PS: Tomorrow promises to be a bit more exciting! 🙂

Happily Stuffed!

I am so very, very happily stuffed! I had a great dinner and am now enjoying editing some photos for this post while listening to a Lifetime Movie. Dinner was tremendously good; steak with baked potato and vegetable medley with french onion soup! I have to confess that I had not eaten much earlier in the day so this was a welcome meal! I woke up rather late to the sound of my phone telling me someone had texted me. I answered the text and started my day. I had a fantastic time attending the Behind the Brand: Overlooked event on the Motto Agency’s facebook page. If any of you are looking for eco-friendly brands or brands looking to make a difference then you need to check out Motto Agency. They are constantly holding these online events showcasing different companies who promote the general welfare of mankind so you definitely need to check them out!  I’ll be posting another blog post about them in my Mes Petites Creations blog so keep an eye out in the next few days!

I took a few pictures today, not as many as I would have liked but I’ve not really been anywhere of interest in the last few days so it gets mundane when I keep photographing the same things but I am finding that even that can helpe me get creative. So here are my selections from Day 5 of my photo project:

Alyssa and I played a few more games of HiHo Cherry-Oh! today and snapped these pics while doing so! The Hello Kitty one is actually on one leg of her sweat pants! She wanted me to snap a photo of that and the logo on her Princess slippers. The Princess one came out shoddy so I think we will work on it tomorrow.

This is a composition I made of some pages inside my personal journal. I love keeping a conventional journal! I get really creative with the mized media aspect of decorating. I hope to be able to do more mixed media projects in the future!  Well, that is all for now! Until tomorrow!
